Incidental music for Don Caesar de Bazan [manuscript], 19th or 20th century.

Set of vocal and orchestral part-books containing both manuscript and printed music, including duplicates of some parts. The part books contain 28 numbered pieces. The manuscript instrumental music includes curtain tunes, dances ("Minuet" and "Waltz"), and trumpet tunes. Text underlay for the manuscript songs and choruses (including a "Gypsy chorus") appears in the vocal and piano part-books. Vocal pieces include "Long live the King," "Ha! The ragged Cavalier!," "Comrades, when the martial drum wakes," "Here's to the girl of bashful fifteen," "Let the toast pass," "Miserere mei," and "Pray, that peace may attend." There are 3 copies of the soprano & alto part (12) and 5 copies of the tenor & bass part (13). A single printed piece appears on loose leaves in a handful of part-books: The radium dance by Jean Schwartz, arranged by William M. Bedfield.
