Articles and agreements to Captain John Martin, 1616 January 29.

The Virginia Company treasurer grants to Martin a series of privileges and immunities concerning his Virginia plantation, including commerce and fishing, shipbuilding, construction of iron, saw and corn mills, mineral rights, punishment of wrongdoers under his command, and defense against Barbarians or Indians. The document is signed by Pembrooke, Southamton, Thomas Smith and Francis Bacon. Two other signatures are only partially copied.
