Publisher's proof of Celia Viets Jamison's (formerly Hamilton) novel, set in Italy, 'Woven of Many Threads, ' with final corrections made by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, 1870. Included are letters written by Longfellow in Cambridge, Mass. to Jamison in New York City and Florida advising her on various issues regarding her novels, 1870-77, including editorial suggestions; recommendations of publishing houses in the Boston area; and advice on how to deal with rejection. Also includes two letters by Jamison to Harvard professor Barrett Wendell, 1907, describing her history, professional affiliation, and friendship with Longfellow.
