Ford Sunday Evening Hour collection, 1934-1946.

The collection contains a complete bound volume set of all William Cameron's talks from 1934-1942 as well as printed music programs from 1934-1942 and 1945-1946. The collection also contains two reel-to-reel audio tape recordings of ten of William Cameron's talks from September 1941 to March 1942.

William John Cameron was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on December 29, 1878. At the age of nine his family moved to Detroit, Michigan. In 1904 he became a reporter and staff writer for the Detroit News. Cameron left the Detroit News in 1918 and joined the staff of the new Ford-sponsored weekly newspaper, the Dearborn Independent, and in 1920 he became editor.
