Since 1900, Christmas at Smith College has involved the sending of cards, the singing of carols and the annual Vespers. Smith College's Christmas Vespers has allowed religious and non-religious students alike to come together and appreciate the music and spirit of the holiday season. Scott was educated at Wooster College (Ph. B., 1912) and Rush Medical College (M.D., 1917). She was the assistant physician, Smith College, 1919-1925, a lecturer at Radcliffe College, 1925, assistant physician at Vassar College, spring 1926, and health consultant at Radcliffe, 1926-1927. She returned to Smith College in 1927 as associate professor of hygiene and retired in 1955. Scott died Jan. 2, 1971. From the description of K. Francis Scott papers, ca. 1917-1971.
