Series 84 of record group 58-17 consists of a tracing on linen of a map (copy 1915, original map drawn in 1828) of Michillimackinac Island (now known as Mackinac Island), showing the surveys of private claims, as drawn by John Mullett. The survey offers claimant names and number of acres, and shows views of the Straits of Mackinac. The map was originally filed in the Surveyor General's Office on January 9, 1829. The map is 20" x 25 1/4" in size, with a scale of 40 chns. : 1 inch.
