Negative taken for February 14, 1962, Arkansas Gazette article "Rover, Scouts Tour Paper Mill, Pearson Plant," B1:3. The Boy Scout troop at the Arkansas Boys Training School invited boy scouts from the School for the Deaf at Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, to go sight seeing at several industrial plants in Pine Bluff, Jefferson County, Arkansas. At one of these facilities, International Paper Company, the boys saw the entire process of how wood is made into paper. The Arkansas Boys Training School, located in Pine Bluff, was established to house juvenile offenders as an alternative to sending them to the state penitentiary.
