Malvin Morton was a prominent Chicago social worker and executive director of the Chicago Federation of Settlements and Neighborhood Centers from 1952 to 1961. She also served as public relations director of the United Charities of Chicago. She was a member of the American Social Welfare Association from 1961-1971 and editor of its publication, Public Welfare.
