Negative taken for July 16, 1963, Arkansas Gazette article "Wells Fargo Still Carries Our Gold," E5:2. Established in 1852 as a stage coach delivery company in California, the Wells Fargo Company still delivers valuable currency. In 1963, a Wells Fargo armored truck makes deliveries in downtown Little Rock at the First National Bank at the corner of Louisiana and Third Street.

Wells, Fargo & Company was founded in 1852 by Henry Wells and William G. Fargo. Wells and Fargo had also established the American Express Company with John Butterfield in 1850.
