Noble & Hayes ledger contains a record of business transactions of partners Curtis Noble and Isaac Hayes, early 19th century merchants in Unadilla, Otsego County, N.Y., 1800-1831. The last 1/3 of the volume contains records of Revolutionary War widow's pensions and veteran's claims, 1830-1851.

Musician, actor, and entertainer, Isaac Hayes, was born Isaac Lee Hayes, Jr., on August 20, 1942, in Covington, Tennessee. When his parents died at an early age, Hayes went to live with his grandparents in Memphis. Isaac Hayes served as Town of Unadilla Supervisor for ten years, and Town Clerk for two years. He was also a member of the New York State Assembly for six years.
