Abstract

Series 177 of record group 58-17 consists of plat and field notes of Isabella and Tobacco River State Road. The road was established under Public Act 399 of 1869. The area documented includes: near Mount Pleasant (Isabella County), northly to the Tobacco River (Clare County) to Franklin Township (Clare County, near Clare County/Roscommon County border). Shows some natural and cultural features, but no landowner's names. Letter of transmittal to the Secretary of State was written by E.D. Wheaton.
