Annotated almanancs of Theodore Sedgwick kept from May 1796 - Jan. 1794. The sporadic entries note cases heard by Sedgwick in 1786 and 1794, probably while serving as a justice of the peace in Berkshire County, Mass. Occasional notations indicate verdicts passed and fines levied in the cases. Entries for 1787, 1790, 1791, and 1793 are mostly accounts related to his household in Stockbridge, Mass. The notes were kept in almanacs for the years 1785, 1787, 1790-91, and 1793 and contain very little personal information.

Theodore Sedgwick (May 9, 1746 – January 24, 1813) was an American attorney, politician and jurist, who served in elected state government and as a Delegate to the Continental Congress, a U.S. Representative, and a United States Senator from Massachusetts. He served as the fourth Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. He was appointed to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court in 1802 and served there the rest of his life.
