Salem (Schooner) logbook, 1772-1773.

The logbook of the schooner Salem details two shipping voyages from Salem, Mass., to Dominica, Guadeloupe, and Martinique in the West Indies, Oct. 1772-Sept. 1773. The master was Henry Williams; the logbook keeper was Francis Boardman. The logbook includes notes on shipboard occupations, one incidence of the disease smallpox, one death, and a list of equipment and supplies, specifically provisions, aboard the ship.
