Diaries of history teacher Robert James Streeter, kept from 1904-1919, 1921-1932, and 1950-1951. Entries describe Streeter's daily activities as a student at Hitchcock Academy in Brimfield, Mass., and Clark College in Worcester, Mass., and his teaching positions in Canaan, N.H., Framingham, Mass., and Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Entries also note family news, social engagements, church attendance, and the weather. Also included in the collection is a diary kept by E.C. Marsh in an interleaved almanac for 1849 noting daily activities and farm chores, and ten volumes of diaries kept by James Streeter's mother, Martha Emily Stone Streeter, 1925-1936. Daily entries note housekeeping chores, family news, social engagements, and attendance at meetings and events sponsored by the local church.
