General description of the collection: The Frank McCoy photograph collection consists of photos which span the military career of McCoy from when he was a lieutenant in 1898 through his final assignment at Governors Island, New York, his military retirement in 1938 and his life to 1950. There are portraits from his early career in the Philippines (1898), WWI to 1950, and of people with whom he was associated throughout his life including some outstanding VIPs. Other photo subjects include the Philippine Islands and Mexican Border Service (1916-1928); WWI, Nicaragua, and the Lytton Commission (1916-1932); Fort Hoyle, Langley Field, and Governors Island (1925-1938); and miscellaneous views and activities including West Point cadet portraits.
