Part of a group of copy negatives taken in association with June 30, 1964, Arkansas Gazette article "Pictures, Models, Memories Keep Steamboating Alive," B1:2. H.C. Young of Williford, Sharp County, Arkansas has a large collection of pictures and models of steamboats. In 1964, Deane visited Young and made copy negatives of his collection. Young started working with steamboats as a water boy at the docks in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Negative series includes the steamboat "Golden Rod" on the Ohio River at Pomeroy, Meigs County, Ohio taken by Felger.
