Copy negative of a woman making souse taken by L.E. Granger, from the WPA files of the 1930s. Souse, also called head cheese, is a pickled meat product often made with pork trimming, like pigs feet, snots and lips, that is cooked with seasoning then chilled into a gelatin form. Deane could have taken this copy negative any time during his career.
