Series 8 of record group 59-4 consists of a map (ca. 1810-1830) of private claims on Lake St. Clair, Detroit, originally collected by either the Michigan Geological Survey or the Michigan Lands Division. The map shows number, name of owner, size, military reserves, rivers, salt springs, Indian village, and includes settlements along the Detroit River, Lake St. Clair and Lake Erie. The map is in six pieces and is 37" x 6' 7" in size, with a scale of 1 mile : 1 in.
