Postcards, 1928-1932, from F. Scott Fitzgerald to Frances Scott Fitzgerald.

Postcards addressed "Dear Pie" or some variation of "Dear Pie," one addressed "Dear Diana" signed "Sincerely yours, Jupiter," sent to Scottie Fitzgerald by her father between 1928 and 1932. Four are postmarked Jan. 1928, Quebec. The fifth card is postmarked Jan. 1928, Montreal. The sixth is postmarked Feb. 1929, New York. The seventh is postmarked April 1932, Baltimore. The top third of the eighth card is removed. Most have humorous comments, including jokes, riddles, and limericks, as well as drawings by Fitzgerald.

F. Scott Fitzgerald was born Sept. 24, 1896 in St. Paul Minnesota. He began writing while a student at Princeton University. He met his wife, Zelda, while serving in the US Army stationed in Alabama. His novel, This Side of Paradise, was published in 1920 and he became an instant success. He published he Great Gatsby in 1925. Fitzgerald died on December 21, 1940 of a heart attack at age 44 while living in Los Angeles and working for the film industry....
