This record group consists of correspondence accumulated by Austin C. Knapp, assistant secretary to the 1961-1962 Michigan Constitutional Convention. Consists mainly of letters in to Mr. Knapp, letters out and memoranda relating to distribution of nearprint publications to delegates; four-year colleges and universities; public libraries; law libraries; judges of supreme, appellate, circuit and federal courts; members of the legislature; and elected officials. Includes agreements and cost estimates for photographing delegates, officers and staff and microfilm reproduction. Also includes typed abstracts of words by Herman Dehnke, delegate from the Alpena District, relating to apportionment; copy of proposed constitution with annotation on vote; program of first reunion on Apr. 24, 1964 in Lansing; estimates of post Convention budget and estimate of cost of preparing publications; and various printed publications.
