Letter from Parmenter to Dike after returning from a fourteen-month trip to the Orient. He has been in San Francisco for two weeks and will return to Cleveland, [Ohio?], after visiting the Yosemite Valley and Monterey. Also, Parmenter congratulates Dike on her recent engagement to Mr. Williams. The letter is written on letterhead from the Bohemian Club, San Francisco.
