This collection consists of five groupins of material which are divided into 14 boxes (approximately 7 cubic feet). There are four boxes of oral history transcripts and interviews; one box of correspondence regarding an alumni fund for scholarship winners; one box of miscellaneous articles; five boxes of research notes and research cards; and three boxes of cassette tapes that Professor Horowitz took during his oral history interviews relating to Brooklyn College's early years.

He continued his education at Brooklyn College where he received his B.A. and M.A. degrees and then received his PhD. from Columbia University.
