Thirty-three photographs relating to early airplane manufacturing at the Moth Aircraft Corporation in Lowell, Mass. Subjects include De Havilland (D.H.) Moth and Gipsy Moth planes in flight and on the ground; the Moth Aircraft Corporation factory in Lowell; and D.H. Moth and D.H. Gipsy Moth motors. There are also several copy photos of early airplane pilots and technology, all relating to the U.S. Army Air Corps, including images of Wright planes. Photographers include Donaldson's (Lowell, Mass.) and W.A. Mead (Billerica, Mass.). All photos are paper-based prints. Also included in this collection is a four-page spreadsheet listing Gipsy Moths ordered from De Havilland, 29 Oct. 1928-5 April 1929.
