Cabell sends four brief notes to Klinefelter regretting he cannot answer a request; allowing a paper about Cabell to be published ("Books about Poictesme"); giving permission to use material from "Ladies and gentlemen" in a book on Sherlock Holmes; and thanking him for a copy of the book on Holmes. A letter to Harlan Umansky, 1984 January 19, describes the above letters and asks about their value.
