Catherine Gore letters, ca. 1840-1849.

The collection consists of four undated letters: to Alaric A. Watts, requesting that certain manuscripts be returned to her for publication elsewhere; to Gentlemen, 2 Oct. n.y., offering her novel My captivity in Borneo for publication; to illustrator George Cruikshank, thanking him for his contribution to her work Modern chivalry, and decrying her treatment by others; to George Cruikshank, apparently concerning illustrations he was preparing for one of her works.
