Negative taken for February 15, 1959, Arkansas Gazette article "Forestry Projects Promise Profits to State," E1:2. The Southern Pulpwood Conservation Association was trying to convince southerners to make their lands into tree farms. International Paper Company was in charge of the three Arkansas "projects". Ernst Heinke had 80 acres ten miles southwest of Little Rock, near Mabelvale, in Pulaski County, Arkansas. His land was turned into a "Pilot Forest" by stripping all trees except those that were profitable. International Paper Company handled the planting and harvesting.
