Philip A. Dargie's materials from RISD, 1947-1950, include a weaving notebook with weaving drafts in color, course materials on woolen and worsted yarn manufacture, notes and course materials on dyes and dyestuffs, ca. 1948-1949, and notes on textile fibers. Other topics of study were textile design, rayon, synthetics, and cotton spinning. Paul N. Dargie's materials include notes on textile and yarn testing, with weaving drafts and cloth samples (swatches), and notes on cost control. Also contains notes and course materials from the Pawtucket Vocational High School Textile Division, especially on spinning and on cotton yarn, and the text of a textile science laboratory manual. Also includes undated course materials from Bradford Durfee Textile School, Fall River, Mass.
