Includes general correspondence, 1813-1815, 1824-1838; correspondence between treasurer and agent, 1815-1817; a daybook, 1817-1826; and a ledger with detailed entries, 1826-1839. Also contains articles of agreement, March 11, 1813, between Josiah Dean, Raynham, Mass., Ephraim Raymond, Norton, Mass., John Tyler and John Maguire, Boston. Collection also includes a ledger, 1849-1850, from an unidentified cotton mill in Scituate, R.I., with a section listing daily activities; a notation on the first page indicates the ledger may have belonged to Auldis Barden. Also contains a ledger (1863-1870) of accounts and weave room records (individuals named) from a mill in Rocky Brook, R.I. possibly the Durfee Mill; accounts are in the name of George M. Durfee (1863-1866) and further notations (1869) list R.G. Rodman and Anthony Dixon, boss weaver, as having received warps at the Durfee mill, Rocky Brook, R.I. Also, a daybook, 1843-1845, from S.T. Thomas, a wool manufacturer in Gray, Maine.
