Letters patent, 1916 July 4 : issued to Frank A. Wardwell.

Granting rights to Wardwell, of Methuen, Mass., for improvements in loom picker-winding machines, patent no. 1,189,412. Accompanied by drawings and specifications. Wardwell's machine would mechanize the hand winding process, in which a core of leather, rubber, cork, etc., is attached to the loom's picker stick by strips of wound textile material.
