Contains the following type of materials: photographs. Covers the following war: World War II (WWII). Contains photographs of the Signal Corps, United States (U.S.) Army. General description of the collection: The Richard B. Moran photograph collection consists of three groups of photos: 1. Signal equipment and Signal Corps jobs. Laying wire using a light aircraft with an improvised wire spool between the wheels; cable installation in a cave used as an operation procedure (OP), and Signal Corps repair shops; 2. A booklet titled THE SIGNAL SPECIALIST which shows the various jobs of installing, maintaining and operating communications equipment; 3. A series of photographs of sectors of a map of Italy showing the "Line Route" for the 5th Army in Italy in 1945. Nothing is known about the donor, Mr. Moran. If he served in the Signal Corps then all of these photos were gotten from his duty station; all are official Signal Corps photographs.
