The collection consists of nearly 300 holographic letters written by United States president (1954-1962), Dwight D. Eisenhower and his wife Mamie Dowd Eisenhower, to their friends, the Ellis Slaters. The letters are largely personal in nature and discuss golf excursions, parties, holidays, and the illnesses of President Eisenhower. The collection consists of nearly 180 holographic letters written by Dwight D. Eisenhower and received by his personal friends, the Ellis Slaters, from November 1948 until March 1969.
