Contains information pertaining to the following wars: World War I (WWI), World War II (WWII). Contains information pertaining to the following military units: Ambulance Corps; 26th Division. General description of the collection: The Fort Devens Museum collection contains items which reflect the holdings, interests and public history presentations of a military museum. There are over 50 items some of which include: the diary of Harry Gayard Wiard of the Ambulance Corps from 1917 to 1918; a casualty list of the 26th Division, American Expeditionary Forces (A.E.F.), November 1920; the 1918 Camp Devens Hostess House guest book; a memorial to the 26th Division; West Point program dated 1921 and a clipping entitled "West Point's century of Black experience"; identification cards from the 1940s; 4th annual Massachusetts Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) memorial service of 24 June 1928; and an envelope marked "censored" by General George S. Patton, Jr. in 1945 and donated to the museum by MG George S. Patton in 1974. A more complete listing can be found in the finding aid for this collection.
