Allie C. Hixson collection, 1960-1998.

This small collection consists of materials collected by Allie Corbin Hixson. The materials dated 1960-1998 include Kentucky Pro ERA Alliance scrapbooks; two copies of the ERA Facts and Action Guide one of which is signed by Hixson; brochures and newsletters; materials relating to International Women's Year, the American Association of University Women, and the National Museum of Women's History; and a Voices of Kentucky Women report compiled by the Kentucky Coordinating Committee for the observance of International Women's Year. A badge with the slogan "ERA : Our Legacy, Our Goal" is also included in the collection.

Allie Corbin Hixson was born May 28, 1924 to Emma Triplett and Alfred B. Corbin of Columbia, Kentucky. She earned a B.A. in English at Oklahoma A & M College in 1949 and an M.A. in Humanities at the University of Louisville in 1961. She also earned a Ph. D. in English at the University of Louisville.
