William Stone Grauer papers, 1926-1935.

Collections consists largely of correspondence between William Stone Grauer and his family while he was a student at the Johns Hopkins University in the early 1930s. Included also are Grauer's class notes, English essays, and exam questions for several subjects. A Chemistry textbook and a 1931 copy of "Hopkins Songs" are the final items in the collection.

Biographical Note: Neil A. Grauer (b. 1947) is a journalist and political cartoonist. He grew up in Great Neck, N.Y. the son of William Stone and Miriam J. Grauer. Grauer received his B.A. from the Johns Hopkins University in 1969 and a masters degree in journalism from Northwestern University in 1970. He was a reporter and cartoonist for the Baltimore News-American from 1970-80.
