Revival occurred in Alexandria, and Pastor Shute wrote Broadus: "Can't you come to Alexandria and help us a few days in our protracted meeting? Bro. Manders was with us two weeks and Bro. Read has been with us two weeks. We have baptized fourteen and about the same number are waiting for baptism."
