Records of the Michigan military establishment, 1902-1951.

This record group consists of five sets of records relating to the Michigan military establishment. The first set of records is the correspondence relating to the Haan memorial (1928-1929). This includes correspondence, telegrams, minutes of the 32nd Division Veterans Association, memoranda, and reports of donors to a memorial for Major General W.G. Haan. The next set of records is correspondence relating to the portrait of Major General W.G. Haan (1923-1926). The third set of records is correspondence to Brigadier General J.H. Schouten (1945-1946). The letters are in support of the preservation of the 32nd (Red Arrow) Division within the 46th Division allocated to Michigan in a reorganization of the National Guard. The fourth set of records is correspondence relating to the career of Brigadier General John Henry Schouten (1902-1951). The final set of records are morning reports (1905-1909), which are statistical records of force of Company A, 3rd Regiment, Michigan National Guard, Army of the United States, at Camp McGwinn and Camp Frazier.
