This record group consists of the directors' subject files of the Adjutant General of the Michigan Department of Military Affairs. The information includes the Michigan National Guard's activity during the Detroit riot of 1967. There is correspondence from numerous people that have questions about the Department. There are also xerox copies of responses made by the Department to request letters sent to the Governor's office and various Michigan legislators. There are a limited number of legislative analyses concerning the reorganization of the Department of Military Affairs.
