Etablissements des Europeans a la Chine : ca. 1732.

This manuscript is from the papers of the Comte de Maurepas, the French Secretary of State, and served to inform him of the state of European trade in China. The author may have been an agent of the Compagnie des Indes named Duvelaer, and he details the nature of trade between the various European nations and China. The manuscript also deals specifically with the French situation in Canton, discussing the possibility of the renewal of their permission to trade after all European traders were ousted in 1731.
