Frederick Morgan Haig served on the faculty of North Carolina State University for 42 years as a professor of dairy husbandry. Haig was a native of Washington, D.C. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland, and served in World War I as an infantry lieutenant before joining the N.C. State faculty in 1919. Haig received an M.S. in animal husbandry from N.C.
