John H. Fye was a United States (U.S.) Army soldier. He was schooled at the New York Military Academy as a young teenager. Later, he attended the United States Military Academy (USMA), West Point, where he graduated with the Class of 1917. His early career was with various field artillery units. World War II took John Fye to Kiska, Alaska, and then to Europe with the 212th Field Artillery Group. In later years Fye became chief, 2nd Army Information Section.
