Typed letters from Franklin D. Roosevelt, The White House, to Dr. Joseph Q. Adams, Folger Shakespeare Library [manuscript], 1942-1943.

(1) Dated November 4, 1942, typed and signed by Grace Tully, Private Secretary. Tully regrets to inform Adams that the President does not have any extra copies of Shakespeare to give to the library. (2) Dated April 8, 1943, signed from Franklin D. Roosevelt. Roosevelt will give a set of the Temple Shakespeare, which he once gave to his mother, to the Folger Library. He will inscribe it if the Folger will return one of the volumes. (3) Dated April 13, 1943, typed and signed by Tully; the President has had much pleasure in inscribing the two Shakespeare volumes and they are being returned herewith.
