Artifacts ephemera, 1890-1986.

This portion of the collection contains an assortment of ephemeral artifacts depicting women. Included are three medals, "Who Says Women Can't Run the World," from the 1986 L'Eggs fifteenth annual mini marathon in Central Park, New York City; a package of fourteen tarot-type cards; a plastic box of Supersisters trading cards of politicians, writers, and actresses (1979); a box of Gypsy Witch Fortune Telling playing cards; two "Women" metal plaques for a bathroom door. Also, two wall plaques, "We Don't Serve Women, You Have to Bring Your Own," and 1761 Silent Woman Entertainment (headless woman); Edison Amberol [broken] record (4 minutes, #428: The Suffragette; Street Scene; Ada Jones and Len Spencer); eight decals (gardeners, Mexican women, Dutch women); one Jac-o-net hairnet in envelope (color lithograph of a woman); game of Round the World with Nellie Bly (1890, in box); Penneys Adonna bra box; and two boxes of blank cards from the Virginia Slims collection, The Twelve avenues of bliss.
