The papers of Lawrence Sheldon Rudner consist of the Personal Files series which includes biographical information, photographs, and articles about and interviews with Dr. Rudner as well as reviews of his book, The Magic We Do Here; the Correspondence and Grant Applications (1974-1994) series; the Writings series which includes manuscripts of short stories, novels, talks and speeches, and non-fiction articles, some non-fiction articles may be found in the Research Files Series; the Research Files series which is predominantly news clippings; the Study Trips series; and the Courses series which contains course development notes and course materials for the "Literature of the Holocaust" course, course syllabi and course files that contain substantial amounts of original materials.

Lawrence Sheldon Rudner (1947-1995) was a Holocaust scholar, educator, historian, journalist, writer, and professor of English at North Carolina State University.
