Organizational records, 1928-1970.

Organizational records include Meeting Minutes of the club, 1943-1960, and the Women's League, 1928-1942, probably its predecessor; Photographs, undated; Reports, 1943-1956, undated; Subject Files documenting the group's interests and activities, 1941-1965, undated, and Constitutions, 1940-1971 (Scattered), and Meeting Programs, 1940-1972; a Guest Book, undated; and Scrapbooks, 1940-1970, undated, and three Oversized Scrapbooks, 1943-1944, 1964-1967, and 1967-1968. Scrapbooks include: photographs; artwork; newspaper and magazine articles; dance programs; notes; correspondence; and miscellaneous. Marjorie Anderson, later the wife of Senator Robert Griffin, was the president of the Associated Women Students (AWS) in 1943. The organization's newsletters, Associated Women Students Newsletter 1960-1971, and Women Today, 1972-ca. 1974, are cataloged separately.

AWS was a club open to all women students at Central Michigan University, 1943-ca. 1974. The goals of the club were to further a spirit of cooperation and friendship among women students and promote their social and intellectual growth.
