Inviting Collins to dine and relating a conversation Dickens had with [Lieut.-Col. Sir William Plunkett] De Bathe about supposed future performances of The Frozen Deep, noting that De Bathe mentioned that the Queen "has a strong idea of following it up with some of the Crimean Amateur Performances," but that Dickens only responded that he knew nothing about it.
