Autograph letter signed from H. Kelfe, Montpellier, to Charles Macklin, London [manuscript], 1769 May 18.

Kelfe makes another request that Macklin immediately institute a suit in Doctor's Commons against James Calfe, engraver, for giving out that he is [her] husband." Kelfe indicates that she was born in St. Martins Street, Leister [sic] Fields in 1743 and was married in 1761 at Marylebon Church by Mr. Boot. Addressed to Charles Macklin, James Street, Covent Garden, London, Angleterre.
