Wenceslao Holub letter : Satevó, Mexico, to Pedro Pablo Macida, Chiapas, Mexico, 1764 June 11.

From an English translation summary in folder: The Czech missionary Holub describes difficult and impoverished conditions in the Mexican state of Chihuahua ministering to the Indians there. He thanks Father Massidda [i.e. Macida] for the syrups and notes that his fever has subsided but that he still feels weak and the medic in Batolipas forbade him to travel to Guazapares. He requests leave to Mexico City to recuperate. He is using alms given to him by Father Cubero to attend to the Indians. He also notes that he is unable to minister to the Indians because his mules have died making travel impossible.
