Project area located in town of Freedom, Cattaraugus County, New York. Paragraph 3 [Phase I Reconnaissance] archaeological examination. Addendum to PAF Report no. 429. Survey methods: file search, literature and document search, surface inspection, shovel test pits. No prehistoric or historic sites identified. Artifacts: metal, glass, historic ceramics, whiteware, transfer print, lead-glazed redware, salt-glazed stoneware, Albany slip. Recommendations: project will not adversely affect any significant cultural resources. This report includes twelve maps two pages of shovel test pit data, artifact catalog, six photographs, along with essays on the cultural history of the area.
