Leonard heard from Dr. Koster that he was asking abot him. He has been on a ship to Northen Europe, he discusses his trip. He then spent 6 weeks in England and discusses it.Letter is unsigned.

California poet. Raised near Vacaville, became a schoolteacher in Coloma and later in Oakland. Became famous overnight with publication of "The Man with a Hoe," his protest against brutalization of labor, in "San Francisco Examiner" (January 15, 1899).
