Building the Sierra Madre Tournament of Roses float [graphic]. 1959.

Image depicts the Sierra Madre float "The Stork, the Birds, and the Bees" under construction in front of two tin roofed warehouse buildings at the City Yards. Twelve people are shown placing wire frames of bees and a stork on the float structure. The San Gabriel Mountains are visible in the background. People identified in the photograph are as follows: Ben McGee, Ralph Rule, Bryce Tyler, Manuel de la Torre, Merte Waite, Larry Bevington, Glen Appleby, and Anne Tyler. The photograph was taken in 1959.
